Band Camp information

At Band Camp, our students work with music coaches, learn marching techniques, bond closely as a team, and most importantly have fun!

Band Camp is usually held over six days in August, with the first day for Freshmen and New Members only. Typically, days 2 and 3 are held at SLOHS, and days 4-6 are at a local sleep-away camp. Band camp days are typically full days (9am-3pm or longer). Exact times, a detailed itinerary, and a packing list will be provided about two week before it starts.

Mandatory Parent Meeting
Please plan to attend the mandatory parent meeting, “Welcome to Marching Season”, which usually takes place during day 2 of band camp (the first day for all band members).  Band students will have their own camp activity at this time.

SLOHS Orientation

If SLOHS Orientation conflicts with Band Camp, arrangements will be made for SLOHS Band Members and this information will be communicated to Band Families prior to Band Camp/Orientation.
